External referrals

The use of external referrals offers a way to track work referred to other organisations, and to store records of follow up as to the outcome of the referrals made. The feature includes the capacity to –

  • Create the referral, select one or more clients in the case or group to send in the referral, and add a cover note
  • Select issues assessed in the case or group to be included
  • Select documents stored on the case or group to go with the referral
  • Select the destination and seamlessly send the referral by email.

From there, the user is able to record the management, acceptance or non-acceptance of the referral by the external organisation, which becomes part of the case or group record.
